As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in administering human resources policies and programs that balance employee advocacy with business operating needs. Your primary focus will be on promoting equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. You will provide comprehensive HR support to a designated client group, which includes recruitment and retention of critical talent, continuous performance coaching and management, proactive issue identification and resolution, and coaching for effective leadership decision-making and communication skills. Understanding and supporting the accomplishment of business priorities will be essential in this role, as you build credible relationships with Business Leaders to facilitate better decisions and enhance organizational effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that company policies are administered fairly and consistently, effectively communicating and executing necessary changes to policies and procedures, and performing employee relations functions. This will involve providing support and counseling regarding personnel conflicts, managing employee performance issues, and conducting employee-related investigations as necessary. You will also handle workers' compensation processes, coordinate Leave of Absence programs, and conduct health and welfare benefits meetings. Training employees and supervisors on benefits, policies, and procedures will be part of your duties, along with maintaining accurate HRIS database entries and payroll information. Additionally, you may assist in the management of bonus plans, merit processes, and participate in various HR committees to resolve employment challenges. In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate strong communication skills, maintain confidentiality, and make decisions under pressure. Your knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws, as well as staffing and employee relations procedures, will be critical to your success. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, along with at least two years of HR Generalist experience, is required. Preferred qualifications include certifications for Human Resource Professionals and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. This position is based in an office environment and may require some travel.
