About the position

Justine Sherman & Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter to join our award-winning team. This position is designed for an Extended Part-Time to Full-Time (30-35 hours per week) role, offering a hybrid work environment that includes both in-clinic and remote work. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of HR information management systems, developing and maintaining HR documents and forms, and providing support to employees on various HR-related topics such as leaves, accommodation requests, and compensation. This role also involves promoting and communicating HR-related organizational protocols, policies, and directives, as well as assisting in performance management initiatives, including annual reviews and professional development counseling. In addition to these responsibilities, the HR Generalist/Recruiter will develop and support employee engagement and retention initiatives, ensure compliance with labor regulations, and facilitate HR projects related to open enrollment and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The position requires coordination of employee benefits administration, including PTO, 401(k), and group health/dental plans, as well as conducting employee onboarding and delivering training and development initiatives throughout the employee life cycle. The HR Generalist/Recruiter will also assist in the implementation and execution of recruitment strategies and refine health-related protocols as necessary. Collaboration with management and supervisors to support employees is a key aspect of this role, ensuring a cohesive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of HR information management systems and employee resources.
  • Develop and maintain HR Documents and Forms, SOP resources and training manuals with support of Executive Management.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves, accommodation requests, compensation, etc., and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Promote and communicate HR-related organizational protocols, policies and directives.
  • Assist and facilitate performance management initiatives including annual reviews, improvement plans and professional development counseling.
  • Develop and support employee engagement and retention directives.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations and facilitate HR projects pertaining to open enrollment, State and Federal posters, and compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and mandates.
  • Ensure employee compliance with third party requirements.
  • Provide support with credential and license databases, and employee records and data.
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration including PTO, 401(k), and Group Health/Dental.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help coordinate and deliver employee life cycle training and development initiatives.
  • Establish and coordinate new hire technology protocols including allocation of JSA devices and access to productivity applications.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of recruitment strategies, processes and communication.
  • Refine and update Covid-19 and other health-related protocols as necessary.
  • Collaborate with and guide management and supervisors to support employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • Professional Human Resources Certificate preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Human Resources experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred.
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster (upon eligibility) must be submitted prior to first date of employment.
  • Updated TB clearance must be submitted prior to first date of employment.
  • Updated CPR (Infant, Child & Adult) must be submitted prior to first date of employment.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Outstanding knowledge of California employment/labor laws.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Ability to navigate and pivot in a dynamic environment.
  • Desire and ability to work collaboratively in a team with a results-driven approach.
  • 1-2 years of full life cycle recruiting experience preferred.
