About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Cannabis & Glass will play a crucial role in managing HR functions within the corporate headquarters in Spokane Valley. This position focuses on benefits administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and payroll verification, all while fostering a positive work environment in the rapidly growing cannabis industry. The HR Generalist will ensure compliance with labor laws, support employee development, and enhance the overall employee experience through effective HR practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of group benefit programs including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Assist HR Management in investigating new plans and programs for employee benefits.
  • Supervise HR Associates functioning as benefit administrators.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Coordinate daily processing of employee benefits including enrollments and terminations.
  • Conduct workplace investigations related to employee concerns and disciplinary actions.
  • Administer employee progressive discipline and attendance policies.
  • Assist in talent acquisition by pre-screening resumes and conducting interviews.
  • Plan for workforce needs and identify gaps in employee rosters.
  • Verify payroll inputs and assist in time-sheet verification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources related field.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in human resources.
  • 2 years of experience supporting workforce needs across multiple locations.
  • 3 years of experience using HRIS/HCM software.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly in Washington and Oregon.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in environmental health and safety preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
