About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at SYGMA is responsible for executing human resources programs and policies in collaboration with leadership to ensure equitable treatment and development of personnel. This role involves compliance with employment laws, overseeing performance management, coordinating recruitment efforts, and enhancing labor relations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulatory agencies and employment laws.
  • Investigate issues related to working conditions, disciplinary actions, and appeals.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to department officials and individuals.
  • Oversee the performance management process and provide training and consultation to OpCo leaders.
  • Work with OpCo leaders to create and maintain workforce staffing plans.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts to hire competent, diverse, and skilled associates.
  • Formulate and recommend program goals and objectives in employee relations.
  • Develop and oversee compensation policies and programs.
  • Communicate compensation policies to associates and provide guidance on HR practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various HRIS.

  • Experience in labor relations management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with diverse individuals.
