About the position

The Human Resources Generalist position at our bank client in New York, NY, involves a variety of HR functions including recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, and training. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accurate processing of information. The position offers a competitive salary of up to $60K and includes a full benefits package, but it is not remote.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting functions including running ads, initial screening of candidates, forwarding resumes to hiring managers, scheduling interviews, drafting offer letters, and monitoring drug tests, physicals, and background checks.
• Handle general HR functions including payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Onboard new hires, ensuring compliance with paperwork and assisting with employee integration.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs.
• Maintain employee files and records.
• Provide daily HR guidance to employees and managers.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in human resources, payroll, or benefits administration.
• Previous experience with ADP preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory rules, regulations, and policies.
• Energetic and positive outlook when working with others.
• Creative and forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards.
• Professional demeanor at all times.
