About the position

The Human Resources position at Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando focuses on supporting the HR functions within a vibrant and dynamic hotel environment. The role emphasizes problem-solving, compliance with HR laws, and effective communication with team members across all levels. The position is integral to fostering a culture of diversity, engagement, and social responsibility while ensuring that team members can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR functions and ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.
  • Utilize HR systems such as ADP Enterprise HRMS and TimeSaver Time & Attendance for operational needs.
  • Assist in problem-solving HR-related issues and provide guidance to team members.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in HR related work required.
  • Associate of Science degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field (or a minimum of two years of HR experience) or equivalent experience in the Hospitality Field.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems by utilizing an understanding of HR laws and regulations.
  • Familiar with or able to learn ADP Enterprise HRMS and TimeSaver Time & Attendance systems, ADACO and other internal operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Powerpoint and reporting software (ReportSmith, EHRMS Query).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and human relations skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good working knowledge of operational and administrative hotel departments.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with issues relating to EEO, FLMA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, Worker's Comp, OSHA and FLSA.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to appropriate interview questions surrounding Title VII and ADA issues.
  • Formal HR certification or training preferred, not mandatory.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish/Creole) preferred.
