About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Jacksonville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center plays a crucial role in managing various HR functions to support the organization's mission of providing high-quality care. This full-time position is based in Jacksonville, FL, and operates on a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, and employee engagement initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. In this position, the HR Generalist will post job openings, recruit candidates, and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires. They will also audit time entries and process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. A key responsibility will be championing the center's employee enthusiasm committee, which focuses on promoting employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention. The HR Generalist will coordinate the administration of benefits, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), leaves of absence (LOA), and Worker's Compensation, working closely with the Regional HR Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory audits and corrective actions. Additionally, the HR Generalist will educate leadership and staff on company policies and procedures, maintaining personnel data in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This role is vital in creating a supportive and compliant work environment that aligns with the center's service standards, which emphasize sincere appreciation, responsiveness to needs, a caring approach, and managing situations for positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Posting jobs, recruiting candidates, and onboarding new hires
  • Auditing time entries and processing bi-weekly payroll
  • Championing the center's employee enthusiasm committee, promoting employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention
  • Coordinating the administration of benefits, FMLA, LOA, Worker's Compensation, regulatory audits, and corrective action (in conjunction with the Regional HR Manager)
  • Educating leadership and staff on company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining personnel data in the HRIS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • One (1+) years' Human Resources experience required
  • Three (3+) years' experience preferred
  • Recruiting, Payroll and Employee Enthusiasm and Engagement experience preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare facility a plus
  • Microsoft Windows and office software experience required
  • Prior HRIS, ATS and/or Payroll systems experience required, UltiPro UKG, Kronos and/or Indeed.com a plus.
