We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for the daily HR operations for a designated group of departments. Provides employee relations support to both staff and management. Oversees the development and execution of HR programs including employee relations, recruitment, talent management, performance management, staffing, affirmative action, and legal compliance. Ensures all HR practices adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices. This role provides strategic guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues. By thoroughly investigating concerns, applying sound judgment, and demonstrating a deep understanding of employment law, company policies, and Graebel's culture, this role fosters a positive and productive work environment. This will be accomplished through counseling and consultation, compliance, problem resolution, relationship building, and customer service. Success in this role is measured by employee satisfaction, reduced turnover, minimal litigation risk, and strong collaborative relationships with management. Additionally, this role is responsible for enhancing employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention through innovative programs and initiatives. This will be accomplished through strategic planning, leadership development, program development and execution, data analysis and reporting, and culture building. Success in this role is measured by increased employee engagement scores, improved employee retention, and positive employee feedback. The Human Resources Generalist will also actively participate in the execution of basic HR functions that exist within the life cycle of an employee, including job postings, offer letters, promotion memos, employee file maintenance, job descriptions, performance reviews, performance management, compensation administration, and exit interviews. This position requires maintaining records of transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. The HR Generalist will assist the Human Resources team on major initiatives/projects and actively assist with investigating both formal and informal complaints of discrimination, disparate treatment, and harassment, recommending appropriate action for resolution of problems. Investigations are thorough, asking relevant questions of the appropriate people, and documentation is timely, accurate, and meets legal requirements. Ensures compliance and knowledge sharing, maintaining a deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies. This role also involves recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding employees to fill vacant positions, developing recruitment strategies and materials, and creating new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provides employee relations support to both staff and management.

  • Offers expert advice to management and employees on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations.
  • Ensures adherence to employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively resolves employee complaints and concerns through timely and appropriate actions, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Develops strong partnerships with business units to proactively identify and address potential employee relations issues.
  • Provides exceptional support to internal clients by responding promptly to inquiries and delivering high-quality service.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of employee engagement trends and best practices to develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies.
  • Equips managers and supervisors with the tools and knowledge to create engaging work environments and build high-performing teams.
  • Designs, implements, and manages employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities to boost morale and motivation.
  • Tracks employee engagement metrics, analyzes data to identify trends, and provides actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee well-being and job satisfaction.
  • Maintains records of transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional human resources experience acceptable in lieu of formal education.
  • Three-Five (3-5) years prior professional human resources experience.
  • Proficiency in both written and oral local language as required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents, professional journals and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write complex reports, detailed business correspondence, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to give effective presentations to management and large groups.
