About the position

As a Human Resources Generalist at Sony Electronics, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department's growth and success. This position involves a variety of essential HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and policy compliance. You will work closely with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture and ensure that HR initiatives align with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR expertise on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with hiring managers to attract and recruit qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Support the administration of competitive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs.
  • Assist managers in creating plans for employee growth and development.
  • Serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance on HR policies and resolving issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and best practices to ensure compliance with HR policies.
  • Assist in the administration of various HR programs, including rewards and recognition initiatives and employee training programs.
  • Stay current on the latest trends in HR, talent management, and employment law.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of human resource management related experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in Korn Ferry suite of tools (Leadership Architect; 360 assessments, Talking Talent, etc.) preferred.
  • SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
