About the position

The Human Resources Generalist role at Jerry involves supporting day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, HR administration, and compliance. The position aims to foster a healthy workplace culture while providing exceptional service to employees. Reporting to the VP of People Operations, the HR Generalist will play a crucial role in automating HR processes and enhancing employee engagement in a rapidly growing startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Automate workflows in HR processes to minimize inefficiencies and scale operations.
• Provide an immersive onboarding experience for new hires to highlight their role's impact on the business.
• Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys and team-building activities.
• Gather feedback from employees to contribute to an inclusive work environment.
• Maintain accurate employee records and assist with benefits administration.
• Prepare HR documents, including offer letters and onboarding materials.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
• Support the HR team in addressing employee concerns and resolving issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 3-4 years of people operations experience, preferably in a high-growth startup.
• Strong understanding of human resources best practices and employment law.
• Experience in implementing and building HR automations and systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Human Resources, I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or similar.
• Certification in SHRM or HRCI preferred.
