The Human Resources Generalist at Signia Aerospace will play a crucial role in integrating a recently acquired business into the Signia Mission Systems companies. This position is based at a manufacturing facility in Anaheim, CA, which employs over 200 individuals. The HR Generalist will serve as the onsite HR presence, responsible for managing various HR functions including employee engagement initiatives, employee and labor relations, benefits administration, leave of absence (LOA) management, workers' compensation, performance management, and overseeing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to promotion and separation. In this dynamic role, the HR Generalist will need to navigate complex California employment and labor laws, particularly in the context of a unionized workforce. The position requires a proactive approach to employee relations, ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and equitably while also addressing any workplace issues that may arise. The HR Generalist will act as a business partner to managers and supervisors, providing recommendations on coaching, training, development, discipline, and performance management. Additionally, the HR Generalist will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, which includes job intake, posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires. This role also involves generating offer letters, running background checks, and establishing new hires on the payroll platform. The HR Generalist will lead workplace investigations, respond to allegations or complaints regarding workplace issues, and recommend appropriate courses of action. Monthly and quarterly reporting on HR-related metrics such as headcount, turnover, and ESG initiatives will also be part of the responsibilities. The HR Generalist will manage onsite communication and lead the Open Enrollment process for employee benefits, ensuring that employees have access to the information they need throughout the year.
