About the position

The Human Resources Department plays a crucial role in the recruitment, management, and direction of the workforce through effective policies, procedures, guidelines, and support. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of local and global policies and programs related to staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development, and regulatory compliance. The role is essential in meeting business strategies and customer requirements while adhering to Catalent's corporate philosophy and external regulations. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will ensure the implementation and utilization of policies and procedures related to staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and employee development. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with management and employees, providing support, planning, and problem-solving. This position involves coaching and guiding managers on employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans. You will conduct transactions using Catalent's software packages, including Workday and Compliance-Wire, and coordinate local recruiting activities, such as job fairs and career days. Additionally, you will deliver training on the performance management program and administer leave of absence policies, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. This is a full-time, on-site salaried position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of local and global HR policies and programs.
  • Ensure implementation and utilization of policies and procedures related to staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and employee development.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with management and employees; provide support, planning, and problem-solving.
  • Coach, counsel, and guide managers on employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
  • Conduct transactions using Catalent software packages, including Workday and Compliance-Wire.
  • Coordinate local recruiting activities, such as job fairs and career days; participate in interview panels and prepare offer recommendations.
  • Develop relationships with local schools and organizations to position Catalent as a local Employer of Choice.
  • Deliver training on the site's performance management program and coordinate all aspects of the performance management system.
  • Administer leave of absence and related pay continuation policies, ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements and applicable laws.
  • Assist with employee activities and communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a relevant discipline is required.
  • 4+ years of broad and progressive experience in human resources is required.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical or related technical industries is preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) such as Workday.
  • Familiarity with compliance training management systems.
