About the position

As a Human Resources Generalist at Rifle Paper Co., you will bring a high level of customer service, proactivity, results orientation, and enthusiasm to our team. Located at our distribution center in Maitland, Florida, you will be responsible for supporting tactical and strategic People initiatives with a heavy emphasis on employee relations and creating a best-in-class employee experience. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure that the employee experience aligns with the company's mission, vision, and values. You will play a crucial part in onboarding new employees, facilitating engagement activities, and administering recognition programs to foster a positive workplace culture. In addition to enhancing the employee experience, you will also support the HR team in developing collaborative, employee-focused processes and solutions. This includes assisting the HR Director with compliance management related to ACA, FMLA, EEOC, and unemployment submissions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring that all e-files are current and compliant with legal standards. Your proactive approach will help streamline HR operations and contribute to a supportive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and development.

Responsibilities

  • Support an employee experience in alignment with Rifle's mission, vision, and values.
  • Support leaders in all aspects of the employee experience, including onboarding, coaching, development, and performance.
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate engagement activities and events.
  • Administer employee recognition programs and participate in the future state design of these programs.
  • Oversee and facilitate onboarding and first-day orientation.
  • Participate in developing collaborative, employee-focused processes and solutions as part of the HR team.
  • Assist the HR Director with compliance management, including ACA, FMLA, EEOC, and unemployment submissions.
  • Update and maintain e-files to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records.

Requirements

  • Excellent in-person and virtual communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ACA, federal & state labor laws).
  • An eye for scalable solutions and a passion for technology and automation.
  • Ideally, 2-4 years experience working on an HR or People Operations team.
  • An obsession with adding value and getting things done with a high level of craftsmanship.
  • Expert organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality while recognizing what needs to be escalated.
  • Humble, self-aware, trustworthy, committed to nurturing the culture of team and company.
