About the position

As an HR Generalist at Signet Jewelers, you will be an integral part of our team, working onsite in Brentwood, TN. This position is designed for a seasoned HR professional who is ready to make a significant impact within our organization. You will play a crucial role in aligning business objectives with our talented workforce, serving as a consultant to management and championing employees while driving positive change throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with training, education, and assessments, as well as partnering with managers on various HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, and talent management. In this role, you will handle employment-related inquiries and participate in disciplinary meetings and investigations. You will collaborate with HR Business Partners to identify and develop talent, ensuring a robust succession plan is in place. Maintaining compliance with employment laws, regulations, and best practices will be a key focus, as will supporting HR Business Partners and Managers in driving employee engagement. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Review, track, and document compliance with training, education, and assessments.
  • Partner with managers on various HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, and talent management.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries and participate in disciplinary meetings and investigations.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to identify and develop talent, ensuring a robust succession plan.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Support HR Business Partners and Managers as needed, driving employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent HR experience.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Workday/HRIS, and talent management systems experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail and/or retail operations is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting multi-site locations, including multiple states, is a plus.
  • Strong customer orientation and change management skills.
