About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Republic Jet Center is responsible for supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance with labor laws, and talent management. This role requires a proactive individual who can foster a positive workplace culture and work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and hiring processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Oversee and improve the onboarding process, ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for new employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing issues, resolving conflicts, and ensuring positive workplace dynamics.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Administer benefits programs, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, and coordinate with payroll for accurate processing.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company goals.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and organize team building and company events to support a positive work culture.
  • Monitor HR metrics, report findings to leadership, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Partner with management on performance reviews, professional development, and other HR initiatives.
  • Monitor attendance and PTO requests in coordination with operational management.
  • Partner with management on Community Engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment labor laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures while addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and develop effective hiring strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an HR generalist role or similar position.
  • Familiarity with affirmative action planning and employment labor law is essential.
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems such as Paychex, ADP, Paylocity, or PeopleSoft.
  • Strong skills in data entry and data collection with attention to detail, using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
