The HR Generalist at Atlas Van Lines plays a pivotal role in aligning business objectives with employee needs, focusing heavily on Talent Development. This position serves as a consultant to management on various HR-related issues, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities from talent assessments to employee relations. The HR Generalist is essential in fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing the company's talent strategy to meet business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Human Resources functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, and compliance with HR laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to influence leaders and colleagues, delivering constructive advice and resolving problems.
  • Build credibility and trust with the workforce and leaders.
  • Guide leaders on change management and employee development.
  • Drive innovation by automating transactional HR work and leveraging shared capabilities across the business.
  • Focus on attracting, selecting, developing, and retaining motivated individuals.
  • Effectively handle employee concerns and grievances, escalating as necessary.
  • Manage complex employee issues to resolution, conducting thorough investigations related to workplace matters.
  • Coach managers on people-related decisions while mitigating risks.
  • Provide timely responses to day-to-day HR matters from employees and managers.
  • Support all levels of management in employee engagement, change management, and leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to execute organizational and people strategies.
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develop and provide training on HR-related topics.
  • Mitigate risk to the organization and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in various projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Training and Development experience.
