About the position

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in shaping positive workplace environments and driving organizational success. This position involves managing daily HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance oversight, payroll assistance, and enforcing company policies. The HR Generalist will contribute to a dynamic and innovative organization, making a significant impact on the workplace culture and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave management.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Manage HRIS (UKG) and perform payroll functions for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments.
• Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Stay updated on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law.
• Lead and support change initiatives to enhance HR processes for greater efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 3-5 years of human resource management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with HRIS (UKG) and talent management systems.

Nice-to-haves

• SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
