About the position

As a Human Resources Generalist at Pivotal Housing Partners, you will play a crucial role in shaping the employee experience and driving operational initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the People team. This position is designed for individuals with at least five years of human resource management experience, who are ready to take on the challenge of innovating and scaling HR programs, policies, and practices. You will be part of a dedicated team that values a positive service-minded approach and is committed to providing exceptional service to our employees. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and coordinating human resource policies and procedures related to employment, engagement, training, performance, and legal compliance. You will also be responsible for managing employee data and the Paycom system, ensuring efficient processing of enrollments, claims, and other HR-related inquiries. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of HR to strategize and execute initiatives that align with the organization's goals. You will operationalize people and culture initiatives, manage onboarding and new hire training programs, and track HR metrics to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will serve as the primary administrator of all benefit programs, ensuring timely processing and accurate billing for health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Your expertise in employment-related laws and regulations will be essential in maintaining compliance and mitigating risk for the company. You will also participate in the employee culture and engagement team, contributing to a positive workplace environment that fosters growth and development for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of HR on the strategy and execution for People Operations.
  • Manage employee data and the Paycom system efficiently, applying automation when possible.
  • Operationalize people and culture initiatives, including Performance Management Initiatives and company-wide engagement surveys.
  • Assist in managing onboarding and new hire training programs.
  • Track HR metrics and identify areas of improvement in hiring and management.
  • Serve as the primary administrator of all benefit programs and a liaison for benefit carriers.
  • Administer the company's 401(K) plan, including processing enrollments and withdrawals.
  • Maintain the Paycom employee self-service portal and assist employees with inquiries.
  • Audit and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Participate as a member of the employee culture & engagement team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR or People Operations.
  • Proficiency in Paycom or ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Strong operational thinker with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multi-state payroll management.
