The HR Business Partner position is a critical role responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within designated business units. This position serves as a consultant to management on various human resource-related issues, acting as both an employee champion and a change agent. The HR Business Partner is tasked with assessing and anticipating HR-related needs, proactively communicating these needs with the HR department and business management. The role seeks to develop integrated solutions and formulate partnerships across the company to deliver value-added services that reflect the organization's business objectives. In this role, the HR Business Partner provides a full scope of human resource services to assigned work units, which includes recruitment, employee development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, reward and recognition, and performance management. The HR Business Partner collaborates with department leadership to assess workforce needs and demonstrates the ability to develop strategies and action plans to address these issues effectively. The position also involves providing consultation to managers on human resource issues, acting as the primary HR contact for all related needs, and offering guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning. The HR Business Partner must understand the unique needs of assigned departments and maintain a collaborative working relationship with department leaders. Additionally, the role includes screening and interviewing applicants, planning recruitment activities, and ensuring a diverse pool of candidates is recruited in line with the organization's objectives. The HR Business Partner is actively involved in the onboarding process for new hires and is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of employee issues and complaints. This includes conducting thorough investigations regarding complaints and allegations, preparing documentation, and recommending appropriate actions. The HR Business Partner also represents the company at unemployment and EEOC hearings, demonstrating a strong understanding of legal implications and how to defend the company's interests. Furthermore, the role requires the ability to contribute to and complete special projects, maintaining an active role in the Human Resource community within the company’s market area.
