About the position

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) role at Amcor is pivotal in providing comprehensive HR services to employees and business stakeholders. This position partners closely with the HR Manager (HRM), HR team members, and business leaders to execute Amcor's strategic business initiatives and Human Capital Strategy. The HRG is responsible for the tactical management of daily HR operations, which includes the administration of policies, procedures, and programs. This individual contributor role typically reports to the HRM and plays a crucial part in ensuring that HR services align with the company's goals and objectives. In this role, the HRG will demonstrate and promote Amcor's Safety Culture, ensuring that safety is a priority in all HR practices. The HRG will collaborate with HR Shared Services and HR Centers of Excellence to deliver the HR Service Model, which includes resolving employee inquiries and issues effectively. Additionally, the HRG will support business process improvements and participate in related teams and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. The HRG will also play a key role in promoting and supporting Amcor's health and wellness initiatives, providing administrative support and coaching for Performance Management processes. This includes HRIS and payroll transactional support to business leaders, processing HR transactions, and generating standard and ad-hoc HRIS reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making. The HRG will drive employee engagement by administering engagement surveys, focus groups, and action planning. Moreover, the HRG will perform assigned talent acquisition and onboarding duties, which encompass sourcing, recruitment, selection, and new hire orientation. The role also involves supporting and coordinating employee development programs and activities, executing against assigned items on the HR Roadmap related to Employee Relations, Engagement, Core Values, and Talent Management. The HRG will be responsible for developing and executing simple, repeatable processes for completing HR work streams related to employee transactions and HR processes, as well as executing on annual objectives.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field required
  • New graduate or internship preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS, preferably Workday and/or Kronos
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills - written and verbal
