As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team and help us build and maintain a strong, supportive workforce. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department and ensuring that our human resources operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and training. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and eager to contribute to a thriving organizational culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and manage the recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, and interviewing.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Manage exit interviews and offboarding, including data entry and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries.
  • Address and resolve workplace issues, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Organize and conduct HR related training sessions for employees.
  • Support employee development initiatives and performance management processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure company practices align with best practices and legal requirements, and manage and organize mid-year and annual employee performance reviews.
  • Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities.
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar roles.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of CA employment/labor laws.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, or relevant field.
  • Additional HR training will be a plus.
  • Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
