About the position

The Human Resources Generalist role at Scotsman Guide Inc. is a part-time position responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR administration. This includes managing HR policies, recruiting, training, benefits administration, employee relations, and ensuring legal compliance. The position aims to foster a positive work environment and support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal guidelines and policies to protect the business and its employees.
  • Maintain awareness of and work to mitigate organizational HR risk.
  • Advise senior management regarding HR matters.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and full cycle onboarding and offboarding.
  • Administer Human Resources policies and procedures as they pertain to all employees.
  • Handle routine to complex employee relations matters.
  • Administer job evaluation and performance management to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for all benefit administration.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the company and serve as the steward of organizational culture.
  • Encourage and foster a positive work environment through effective team member relations, communications, and activities.
  • Support the planning, organizing, and execution of facility events including employee appreciation activities and team member engagement events.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related work experience.
  • HR Certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional human resources experience including employment law, employee relations, benefits, and recruitment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HR software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
