As a Human Resources Generalist at Marriott International, you will play a crucial role in supporting management and the leadership team in handling and resolving human resources-related issues. Your responsibilities will include assisting employees with internal and external transfer requests, monitoring and aiding managers/supervisors with hiring processes and related issues. You will coordinate and conduct drug testing, reference checks, background checks, and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws as well as company policies and standards. Additionally, you will maintain applicant flow records, drug testing results, orientation records, and transfer requests, while creating and maintaining employee files and entering data into the HR information systems. You will assist with the onboarding of new employees, ensuring that all hiring processes comply with legal requirements and company policies. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate employee records, including interview documents and I-9 forms, and supporting payroll processing and record maintenance as needed. You will report any employee relations issues to HR managers and create and maintain filing systems. Generating HR data reports, answering phones, and typing correspondence will also be part of your daily tasks. As an HR subject matter expert, you will participate in project teams and train new employees on HR processes, programs, policies, and information systems. It is essential to adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, and ensure the confidentiality of company information. You will communicate clearly and professionally with others, prepare and review documents accurately and timely, and respond to phone calls with appropriate etiquette. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting team goals, and addressing employee concerns will be key aspects of your role. You may also be required to move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds (4.5 kg) or less without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be assigned by supervisors.
