About the position

This position will be working at our Headquarters Building in North Austin (183/Oak Knoll). This position is fully in-person at our offices. We are seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join our HR team and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the department. This is a great opportunity for a HR professional with exposure to a wide variety of HR Operational duties, including, but not limited to, full-cycle payroll, benefits, leave program administration, employee relations, performance management, and more. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and management to ensure a seamless and positive experience throughout the employee life-cycle.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now for 200+ employees, including the collection, review, input, editing, and verification of payroll data.
  • Act as the internal staff consultant and employee point of contact for all benefit and leave related inquiries, including driving the full life cycle of the Open Enrollment Process.
  • Assist with annual audits including 401k, benefits plan, and workers' compensation, ensuring accuracy of reporting data for ACA requirements.
  • Conduct intake on employee relations issues and work with the VP of HR to compose corrective action documents and investigate complaints.
  • Coach and advise managers on the annual evaluation process including merit increases and suggest process improvements for employee engagement and retention.
  • Review, update, and implement changes to the Employee Handbook and update employees and managers on compliance with policies.
  • Assist with the creation and updating of job descriptions for new and existing positions by partnering with managers.
  • Partner with the VP of HR to identify, develop, and implement new efficiencies and process improvements for the HR Team.

Requirements

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in a related field required, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • 3+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, with demonstrated experience in the full employment life-cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with modern HRIS systems to process payroll and manage employee updates.
  • Understanding of HR operations including payroll and employee benefits, including annual open enrollment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRMCP/SCP certification.
  • Experience using ADP WorkForce Now.
  • 5+ years of uninterrupted recent, progressive HR experience.
  • 2+ years' full cycle payroll processing experience serving 200+ employees.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience working at a bank or credit union.
