The Human Resources Generalist position at Everett Public Schools is a full-time role that operates under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources. This position is integral to the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring that the organization provides maximum support to teachers, administrators, and support staff. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of essential functions that include processing new hire paperwork, managing fingerprinting results, and assisting with new-hire orientations. The role requires a thorough understanding of employee benefits and applicable laws, as well as the ability to effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications related to leaves of absence and disabilities. In addition to these responsibilities, the HR Generalist will perform quality checks of benefits-related data, process and administer all leave-of-absence requests, and coordinate sick bank activities. The position also involves maintaining various records, including longevity and job/salary records in the MUNIS system, and managing college credit submissions. The HR Generalist will work collaboratively with other team members, especially during peak times, and will be expected to assist with various projects as needed. This role is crucial for maintaining confidentiality and data integrity while ensuring compliance with district policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software. A Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in an HR role, is preferred.
