About the position

National Power, LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing team in the Raleigh headquarters office. This role involves performing HR-related duties on a professional level, supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, payroll, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a positive mindset, be highly motivated, and interact professionally with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the recruiting/hiring function for assigned division(s) including ATS administration and offer letter extension.
  • Conduct pre-hire screening including criminal background, motor vehicle record, and reference checks, as well as pre-hire drug screens.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure smooth employee integration.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files, HR databases, and HRIS records.
  • Process HR-related documentation including employment verifications and personnel action forms.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Generate various HR reports and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Assist with performance management processes including coordinating review cycles and maintaining documentation.
  • Assist with affirmative action planning and reporting requirements.
  • Support DEI efforts as needed.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes.
  • Serve as backup support for payroll processing in the absence of the primary payroll administrator.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of employee events and activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in human resources or business administration preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in HR role preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
