About the position

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our Sewickley Campus. This full-time position operates during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, and is integral to our mission of providing heartfelt service to our community. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, personnel records management, job evaluation, compensation management, and training. You will assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Your contributions will help foster a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire new hire process, from reviewing and recommending candidates to conducting orientations and tracking onboarding progress. You will maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring accurate records of employee benefits, employment status, and other critical data. Additionally, you will serve as the primary resource for Workday-related inquiries and issues, providing support to both employees and management. Your responsibilities will also include organizing campus events, such as employee appreciation activities and wellness programs, and maintaining confidentiality of employee files. You will be a key point of contact for employee benefit questions and concerns, guiding employees through various HR-related issues, including retirement inquiries and worker's compensation documentation. Your analytical skills will be essential in identifying opportunities for improvement within the HR function, contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire new hire process, including reviewing candidates and conducting orientations.
  • Maintain the HRIS, ensuring accurate records of employee benefits and employment status.
  • Serve as the primary resource for Workday-related inquiries and issues.
  • Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, recommending new approaches as needed.
  • Provide support and direction to management regarding employee relations and employment laws.
  • Organize and implement campus events, including employee appreciation activities and wellness programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee files and documentation.
  • Counsel employees on retirement inquiries and coordinate pension information with corporate campus.
  • Research and gather information for unemployment compensation requests and participate in hearings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a human resources position.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, particularly Workday.
