About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Texas National Bank is responsible for administering the payroll function and supporting various HR operations. This role involves processing payroll, managing employee records, and contributing to a high-performance culture within the organization. The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Manager to implement policies and procedures, conduct onboarding, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll, including bonus payrolls as needed.
  • Handle off-cycle manual checks and termination paychecks.
  • Upload payroll general ledger files and reconcile quarter-end and year-end reports.
  • Verify and reconcile W-2s prior to issuance.
  • Act as the point of contact for time and attendance, including time-off policies.
  • Respond to requests for payroll and wage verification information.
  • Develop and maintain documentation regarding payroll procedures and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions and documentation.
  • Partner with HR Manager to review and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding.
  • Provide monthly reports on staffing levels, overtime, turnover, etc.
  • Complete annual salary and compensation surveys.
  • Support the administration of the annual EEO-1 report and quarterly Multiple Worksite Report.
  • Participate in efforts to streamline HR activities through technology.
  • Ensure employee information is accurately set up in the HRIS database and updated as necessary.
  • Provide support and back-up to the HR Team as needed.
  • Complete regulatory and compliance training as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources.
  • 1 year of payroll management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
