The Human Resource Generalist plays a key role in providing a high level of support to our employees at KFI Engineers. This position is essential for maintaining accurate employee records, managing HRIS data, and ensuring that all HR processes and documentation are up to date. The HR Generalist will audit and verify the accuracy of all employee change requests, ensuring that all information is correct and compliant with company policies. Additionally, this role will offer back-up support to payroll and benefits employees, as well as assist with other HR functions as needed. The HR Generalist will monitor and respond to inquiries in our universal HR email inboxes, acting as the first point of contact for employees with questions or concerns regarding policies, procedures, and programs. This includes reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, such as safety training and anti-harassment training. The HR Generalist will also implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs, ensuring that new employees feel welcomed and valued from their first day. In addition to these responsibilities, the HR Generalist will perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leave management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development. The role will also involve assisting with Workers' Compensation cases, including filing First Injury Reports and communicating with colleagues and claims adjusters as necessary. The HR Generalist will maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to ensure adherence to best practices. Furthermore, this position will manage the development and production of the annual company calendar and respond to HR data requests from both internal and external customers.
