The HR Generalist at Atlas Van Lines plays a crucial role in aligning business objectives with employees and business units, focusing heavily on Talent Development. This position serves as a consultant to management on various HR-related issues, encompassing a broad range of responsibilities including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, and compliance with HR laws and regulations. The HR Generalist is instrumental in building a positive workplace culture and advancing the company's talent strategy to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Human Resources functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, and compliance with HR laws.
  • Provide guidance to influence leaders and colleagues, delivering constructive advice and resolving problems.
  • Build credibility and trust with the workforce and leaders.
  • Drive innovation in HR processes, including automation of transactional HR work.
  • Focus on attracting, selecting, developing, and retaining motivated individuals.
  • Effectively handle employee concerns and grievances, escalating as necessary.
  • Manage complex employee issues to resolution, conducting thorough investigations.
  • Coach managers on people-related decisions while mitigating risks.
  • Provide timely responses to day-to-day HR matters from employees and managers.
  • Support management in employee engagement, change management, and leadership development.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to execute organizational strategies.
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation, and develop training on HR-related topics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Training and Development experience is required.
