About the position

Worldcom Exchange, Inc. (WEI) is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated HR Generalist to join our growing team. This position will report to the Director of HR and provide daily HR support to employees. The HR Generalist will serve as a resource to respond to employee inquiries, manage updates in the HRIS, Paylocity, and assist with employee engagement. The HR Generalist will also assist with policy and performance management, new hire documentation, and serve as a backup resource for payroll processing. In this role, the HR Generalist will provide daily HR support to employees while maintaining positive employee relations and engagement. The individual will perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, payroll, benefits, FMLA and leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, and performance management. The HR Generalist will prepare new hire offers and onboarding documentation, developing and managing the onboarding process using the HRIS, Paylocity. The HR Generalist will work towards process improvement by collaborating with Senior Leadership, HR team members, and vendors. Additionally, the role involves assisting with policy and handbook updates, employee wellness and engagement activities, and payroll processing as needed. The HR Generalist will maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily HR support to employees maintaining positive employee relations and engagement.

  • Prepare new hire offers and onboarding documentation and develop and manage the onboarding process using the HRIS, Paylocity.

  • Assist with employee wellness and engagement activities.
  • Assist with payroll processing, as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business related field or Human Resources is preferred but not required; will consider equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of broad HR experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS, Paylocity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
