About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Securitas Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting daily HR operations, managing administrative tasks, and assisting with employee onboarding and records management. This position serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and ensures smooth HR processes across the organization. The HR Generalist will partner with business management to oversee various HR functions, including talent acquisition, policy administration, compensation review, employee relations, and event planning.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct talent acquisition activities including defining roles, developing interview guides, and executing hiring plans.
  • Provide feedback to internal job candidates and assist in career development plans.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing counsel and mediating disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment-related regulations.
  • Respond to employee complaints and conduct investigations as necessary.
  • Liaise with vendors for workers' compensation and unemployment claims management.
  • Maintain department reports and manage company-sponsored events within budget.
  • Assist the HR Manager with special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least three years of HR experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR technology including ATS and HCM systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience with employee relations and performance management.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance and regulatory requirements.
