About the position

The Human Resources Generalist will provide professional leadership and expertise in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office. This role involves supporting the HR Manager in administering HR policies, procedures, and programs, with a focus on employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, and benefits management. The Generalist will promote a high-performance culture and ensure alignment with the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Manage employee relations and performance management processes.
  • Oversee onboarding and training programs for new employees.
  • Administer compensation and benefits management.
  • Utilize Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) for data management.
  • Streamline HR processes for increased efficiency.
  • Promote a high-performance, service-oriented culture within the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office Suite.
  • Experience with payroll vendors and general accounting processes preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2-3 years of ministry/nonprofit experience preferred.
  • PHR certification preferred.
