About the position

As a Human Resources Generalist at Spectrum, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive HR support to a designated client group. This position focuses on the recruitment and retention of critical talent, continuous performance coaching and management, and proactive issue identification and resolution. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to creating strategies, policies, and procedures that support employees and meet business objectives. Your proactive approach will help deliver the exceptional services and experiences that Spectrum is known for, ensuring that company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout your area of responsibility. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating and executing necessary changes to policies and procedures, supporting and counseling employees and managers regarding job-related issues, and managing employee performance issues. You will also conduct employee-related investigations as necessary and support employee engagement efforts, such as conducting health and benefits meetings and training sessions for employees and supervisors. Building credible relationships with business leaders and effectively communicating with all levels of management and company personnel will be key to your success in this position. Your contributions will not only help in maintaining a positive work environment but also in aligning HR practices with the overall goals of the organization. You will be expected to balance employee advocacy with business operating needs, ensuring that the HR function supports the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive HR support to a designated client group.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of critical talent.
  • Conduct continuous performance coaching and management.
  • Identify and resolve HR-related issues proactively.
  • Administer HR policies and programs fairly and consistently.
  • Communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures.
  • Support and counsel employees and managers regarding job-related issues.
  • Manage employee performance issues and assess related requests.
  • Conduct employee-related investigations as necessary.
  • Support employee engagement efforts, including health and benefits meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and procedures.
  • Understanding of state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Familiarity with staffing and employment practices.
  • Knowledge of employee relations procedures and applicable laws.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Professional communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications for Human Resources Professionals (SHRM, PHR).
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record within company required standards.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications.
