About the position

The Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary contact for managers and employees, providing guidance and support on employee relations issues and human resource policies. This role is essential in promoting a positive employee relations culture and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The Generalist collaborates with various HR functions to achieve strategic objectives and supports the implementation of employee relations programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the employee relations strategy and provide local perspective for initiatives.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and COEs to implement integrated employee relations products and services.
  • Respond to employee relations queries and execute policies related to discipline, grievances, and workplace issues.
  • Provide consulting support to enhance a performance-based culture in assigned areas.
  • Act as the first point of contact for leadership and employees on HR issues.
  • Consult on performance management, workforce engagement, and total compensation matters.
  • Provide counsel on employment law concerns such as ADA, FMLA, and Title VII.
  • Assist in conducting employee relations investigations and resolving cases.
  • Design and implement special projects and HR initiatives, including organizational development strategies.
  • Create and deliver employee relations-related messaging and learning materials.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of employee relations programs and recommend updates.
  • Generate reports and support data analysis related to employee relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, or a similar area required.
  • 4 years of Human Resources experience considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Two years of general human resources experience required.
  • General knowledge of employee relations operations, laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within diverse teams.
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills.
