About the position

Responsibilities

  • Sources, recruits, screens, and interviews qualified candidates.
  • Responsible for providing quality guidance and support to operational leadership in the areas of employee relations, worker's compensation, training, safety, and employee health.
  • Responsible for the successful onboarding of new team members through orientation, training, and engagement.
  • Delivers new hire orientation, training, and support programs.
  • Works collaboratively with managers to effectively address employee relations matters such as worker's compensation, disciplines, performance improvements plans, separations, complaints, etc.
  • Assists with the internal and external complaint process including but not limited to; compliance, PHRC, EEOC complaints.
  • Ensures employee records are up-to-date and accurate to meet internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Places advertisements on relevant websites and in publications, attends job fairs and events in the community, and represents Diakon in the community.
  • Some travel will be required.

Requirements

  • A BS or BA degree in Business, Communications, Human Behavior, or a related field of study normally required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions required.
