The Human Resource Generalist ensures that all HR-related policies and procedures are followed, particularly onboarding and offboarding processes. This role is responsible for managing HRIS data, electronic files, and other HR systems. Daily responsibilities include providing policy and procedure guidance to employees and management, responding to HR-related inquiries, and performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including onboarding, offboarding, and managing HR compliance. The HR Generalist must maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements, maintain electronic employee files, and prepare for audits or other record data gathering projects. The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain strict confidentiality in all work-related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management and respond to human resources-related inquiries.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including onboarding, offboarding, and exiting interviews.
  • Manage HRIS data, electronic files, and other HR systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain electronic employee files and all HR records, including preparation for audits or other record data gathering projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle interruptions effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security in all work-related matters and interactions involving employees.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Execute HR detailed processes and procedures and maintain consistent documentation structure.
  • Assist with employee complaints and research data for resolutions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to warmly convey information in writing.
  • Strong project management skills with a high level of detail orientation and organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
