About the position

Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to work in our Dallas, Texas facility. As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, the primary function of the senior HR generalist is to directly support the site in the development, implementation, and execution of HR policies and programs to effectively drive value for the business and meet our operational and functional metrics. This role provides leadership in the effective administration of recruitment & selection, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, coaching, payroll administration, affirmative action, and other HR processes. The HR Generalist will engage in proactive positive employee relations strategies and initiatives, driving activities to promote engagement with employees at all levels. This includes providing counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues, as well as investigating and resolving employee relations matters. The role also involves implementing and administering policies and procedures consistent with the facility's inclusion and diversity initiatives, including driving actions to achieve affirmative action goals and leading outreach efforts by promoting and maintaining relationships with civic and educational institutions. Additionally, the HR Generalist will partner with supervisors to ensure accountability is enforced regarding attendance and performance. Establishing effective communications to keep employees informed of policies, procedures, and events is crucial. The role requires designing, implementing, and maintaining the site communications plan, as well as providing advanced coaching, consulting, and facilitation skills to influence behavior and business decisions consistent with Eaton Values. Support in the areas of compensation and benefits will also be part of the responsibilities, including salary administration, assisting with wage surveys and communications, and helping employees with benefits questions and escalations. The HR Generalist will coordinate and administer the performance management process for production teams, providing guidance to supervisors and managers on development planning and assisting in coordinating the Organizational Capability Assessment (OCA) processes. Championing employee survey improvement activities through analysis of survey data and identification of key improvement opportunities is also expected, along with utilizing metrics to determine the health of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of (3) three years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in human resources, labor relations or business administration.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification.
  • Willingness to relocate to other Eaton locations throughout the US for future opportunities.
