About the position

Diversity-Vuteq is a minority-owned automotive manufacturing company that supplies plastic injection molded parts for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. We are a Tier 1 supplier for TMMI. Our 200,000 square foot facility was established in 2009 and currently employs over 400 team members, with steady growth anticipated. We are located in Princeton, IN, behind the Toyota Manufacturing plant. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team on the Gold Shift, which runs from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This position will provide day-to-day support in all HR-related functions, ensuring that our team members are well-supported and that our HR processes run smoothly. The Human Resources Generalist will manage employee files and record keeping for both active and inactive team members. This role involves communicating with agencies regarding all matters related to temporary employees, providing counseling and coaching to team members and specialists regarding employee matters, and effectively handling conflict resolution. The Generalist will ensure that team leaders and specialists are enforcing company policies and procedures, recommend and administer corrective action plans, and provide daily support and guidance on all HR-related questions and functions. In addition, the Generalist will coordinate and participate in recruiting efforts, including marketing, job fairs, interviews, hiring decisions, job offers, background screening, and scheduling orientation. They will assist with payroll functions such as timekeeping, absence tracking, and employment verifications, as well as lead and summarize employee investigations. The role also includes overseeing all facets of company-sponsored events, maintaining and reporting on budgets for employee and community events, and monitoring employee engagement through surveys and incentives. The Generalist will maintain employee data and oversee time worked and attendance of hourly employees, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and the ability to analyze trends and recommend improvements based on key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee files and record keeping for active and inactive team members
  • Communicate with agencies regarding all matters with temporary employees
  • Provide counseling and coaching to team members and specialists regarding employee matters
  • Effectively handle conflict resolution
  • Ensure team leaders and specialists are enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Recommend and administer corrective action plans while ensuring forms are completed compliantly
  • Provide daily support and guidance to team members and leaders on all HR-related questions, concerns, and functions
  • Coordinate and participate in recruiting efforts, including marketing, job fairs, interviews, hiring decisions, job offers, background screening, and scheduling orientation
  • Assist with some payroll functions such as time keeping, absence tracking, employment verifications, etc.
  • Assist team members with onboarding
  • Lead and summarize employee investigations
  • Oversee all facets of company sponsored events, including the creation of proposals, site-selection, vendor reviews, contract negotiation, event flow, space requirements, catering, and analysis of effectiveness
  • Maintain, adhere to, and report on budget for employee and community event
  • Monitor and increase employee engagement, including use of surveys, incentives, events, and employee communications
  • Create and maintain company calendar of events, contests/drawings, ticket sales & distribution and employee discounts
  • Administer and communicate employee benefit programs in compliance with governmental requirement
  • Maintain employee data, including title, department, hierarchy, pay rates, and demographic information and provide monthly reporting
  • Oversee time worked and attendance of hourly employees while communicating with supervisors as needed to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
  • Maintain and report key performance indicators, analyze trends, and recommend improvements
  • Work under general supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a HR-related role
  • HRIS/ADP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts, as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results with efficiency and effectiveness
  • Must maintain high degree of confidentiality
  • Proficient in MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of Environmental ISO14001 preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience required
  • Associate's degree or higher preferred
