About the position

The Human Resource Generalist at Ground Effects LLC is responsible for maintaining and communicating company policies to both supervision and associates. This role involves promoting, implementing, and communicating activities related to employment and occupational issues for both hourly and salary staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the recruiting process, confirm recruiting strategy with HR team, interview candidates, and coordinate offer approval.
  • Coach managers on the recruiting process and vendor management to facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as required.
  • Organize employee onboarding and coordinate training and development initiatives.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
  • Promote HR programs to create an effective and conflict-free workplace.
  • Provide accurate information/support to employees on HR-related topics such as compensation, benefits, and leaves.
  • Manage monthly HR metrics including attendance and hiring activities.
  • Maintain training matrix to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and certification requirements.
  • Track hourly employee attendance and vacation, issuing appropriate corrective actions as needed.
  • Act as an advisor by providing guidance on sensitive, confidential, and complex HR issues.
  • Ensure compliance with GFX policies, Employment Standards, and other regulatory employment and human rights requirements.
  • Assist with Health & Safety compliance, STD, LTD program/policies as required.

Requirements

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in HR; Preferred- 5 years in an ISO/TS16949 manufacturing environment, specifically in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Sound knowledge of all HR disciplines including performance management, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, talent management, compensation, and Health and Safety.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
