About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Stratasys, located in Eden Prairie, MN, plays a crucial role in supporting the company's diverse HR activities. Stratasys is a leader in 3D printing technology, providing innovative solutions across various industries, including aerospace, automotive, consumer products, and healthcare. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions that support employees and managers across multiple locations. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that HR policies and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee experience. In this role, the HR Generalist will process status changes for employees from new hire to termination within the HRIS systems, ensuring accurate and timely updates. They will provide guidance on policies and procedures to both employees and managers, addressing inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and HR operations. Monitoring employee morale and company culture is a key responsibility, as is preparing necessary documentation for employee-related processes. The HR Generalist will collaborate with the HR team to develop and execute effective employee strategies, which may include counseling employees on work-related issues and conducting termination interviews, providing valuable feedback to management. The position also involves administering the onboarding experience for new hires, supporting continuous learning initiatives, and conducting exit interviews to complete the offboarding process. The HR Generalist will write position descriptions and educate managers on the HR processes, while also working with HR business partners to communicate changes in policies and procedures. Additionally, they will conduct research and analyze data for assigned projects, contributing to the formulation of compensation objectives, staffing goals, and performance management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Process status changes from new hire to termination into HRIS systems
  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and managers
  • Support employees with questions and changes on benefits, payroll, and HR operations

  • Prepare paperwork for employee-related documentation and required forms
  • Collaborate with the HR team to execute effective employee strategies for the organization
  • Counsel employees concerning work-related problems and conduct termination interviews, providing feedback to management when necessary
  • Work with employees and managers to ensure a positive environment through the employee experience
  • Administer onboarding experience for new hires
  • Support continuous learning through annual programs, monitor and partner with HR team to ensure execution
  • Conduct exit interviews and complete offboarding process
  • Write position descriptions and educate managers on understanding the process
  • Work with HR business partners on communications for the organization on changes to policies and procedures
  • Conduct research and analyze data on assigned projects
  • Assist in the formulation of compensation objectives, staffing goals, performance management, and other HR related practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Industrial Relations field
  • 2+ years related experience, or advanced degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
  • Proficient knowledge of employee regulations
  • Understanding of compliance in the human resources field

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years' experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, teams or office software products
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Previous merger and acquisition experience
