About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at MyStaff Inc. is a pivotal role that involves performing a variety of HR-related duties at a professional level. This position works closely with senior HR management to support designated geographic regions, ensuring that all HR functions are executed efficiently and effectively. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and compliance with employment laws. In the area of recruitment and onboarding, the HR Generalist will manage the full-cycle recruiting process to meet staffing goals across multiple business units. This includes creating and implementing employment marketing strategies to attract passive job seekers, conducting new hire orientations, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new employees. The role also involves providing support to employees on various HR-related topics, promoting HR programs to foster a conflict-free workplace, and assisting in the development and implementation of human resource policies. The HR Generalist will maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring that all employee records are accurately maintained and updated. They will administer health and welfare plans, coordinate the onboarding process, and assist in the benefits enrollment process. Additionally, the HR Generalist will play a key role in training and development by assisting in the creation and implementation of training programs, conducting training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of these programs. Finally, the HR Generalist will assist with the annual performance review process, providing guidance to managers on performance-related issues and development plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process to meet staffing goals across multiple business units.
  • Create and implement employment marketing strategies to attract passive job seekers.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Gather and analyze HR metrics like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Ensure all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status.
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Coordinate and conduct the new employee onboarding process and assist in benefits enrollment.
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers for accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for employees.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops as required.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with the annual performance review process, including coordination of evaluation forms and scheduling.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and development plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
