About the position

The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting employees and fostering a positive work environment at Alarm.com. This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to interface with employees at all levels, ensuring effective communication and support within the HR function.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, programs, and processes; submit employee help tickets as needed
  • Maintain employee personnel records and process transactional information such as pay, department, manager, and title changes according to standard operating procedures
  • Assist with writing and sending manager and employee-facing communications
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop effective recruiting strategies
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding processes run seamlessly
  • Conduct new hire check-ins and exit interviews
  • Partner with the Benefits department on leave management
  • Pull HRIS reports to analyze and update relevant data
  • Partner with the HR Operations and other internal teams on projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of related HR experience
  • Knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment and employee relations
  • Understanding of HR regulations and policy administration
  • Strong client-service focus, responsiveness, and ability to build and manage relationships across different levels and functions
  • Proficiency in notetaking and ability to help with delicate performance management and employee relation situations
  • Some experience with HR systems, such as Workday is a plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects; leverage strong time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of personal integrity and maturity including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
