About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Kyocera International, Inc. provides comprehensive HR support to plant and sales employees across various locations. This role involves managing the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. The Generalist will assist the HR Manager with projects and serve as a primary contact for employee-related HR processes and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full cycle HR support to plant and sales employees.
  • Assist HR Manager with projects related to employee relations, performance, compliance, and recruitment.
  • Manage new hire processes, terminations, and benefit calculations using HRIS systems.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee-related HR processes or policies.
  • Support the HR Manager on issues related to compensation, benefits coordination, and retirement plan administration.
  • Communicate policies, job duties, and employee benefits to current and prospective employees.
  • Conduct research on employee benefit inquiries and provide accurate information.
  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and process job requisitions.
  • Plan and conduct new hire orientations and assist with onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and provide information for audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations preferred.
  • 4 years of related HR employee support experience.
  • PHR or SHRM CP certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful in research and legal compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in FMLA/leave management and ADA compliance.
  • Knowledge of compensation and performance management processes.
