About the position

Spartronics is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Wesley Chapel, FL. This role is pivotal in establishing a positive and effective representation of the Human Resource Department through efficient activities across all areas of Human Resources within the facility. The Human Resources Generalist will focus on various key areas including benefits administration, recruitment, management and interpretation of policies and procedures, and consulting with facility managers and supervisors. The position also involves participation in special projects as needed, assisting the Human Resource Manager in various tasks. As an Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, Spartronics is dedicated to delivering high-quality and reliable products for the commercial aerospace, defense, medical device, life science, and industrial markets. The Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all required regulations, including ITAR, safety, environmental, quality, and security guidelines. This position requires a proactive approach to improving processes and enhancing the overall employee experience. The successful candidate will manage medical and other leaves of absence, conduct new-hire orientations, and assist with the annual benefits open enrollment period. They will also be responsible for recruitment activities, maintaining HRIS records, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Establish positive representation of the Human Resource Department through efficient activities in all areas of Human Resources.
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR, safety, environmental, quality, and security guidelines.
  • Manage medical and other leaves of absence, including workers' compensation and FMLA tracking.
  • Conduct new-hire employee orientations to ensure understanding of benefit plans.
  • Counsel employees on plan provisions to facilitate informed benefit decisions.
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment period and communicate changes to employees.
  • Perform recruitment activities, interviews, and evaluate candidates for hourly and temporary employees.
  • Maintain records in the HRIS system and assist with preparation of the site annual affirmative action plan.
  • Implement and roll out new policies, initiatives, and programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain company organization charts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive Human Resources management or business-related experience.
  • Effective working knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting information to groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and HR software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous Paylocity experience.
