About the position

Beacon Specialized Living's Human Resources Generalist is dedicated to assisting in driving stronger engagement and opening lines of communication with current employees. This role is pivotal in monitoring employee programs, initiatives, and overall employee satisfaction. Reporting to the HR department, the Human Resources Generalist will work closely with Beacon leadership to monitor strategic employee engagement initiatives that drive a culture of excellence. The position involves direct interaction with employees, addressing their concerns, and promoting a positive organizational culture. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for documenting all incoming communications from the Beacon I-Care Phone Lines and emails, ensuring that employee concerns and suggestions are reported and followed up on. This includes following up with new hires regarding their onboarding experience and providing feedback to department leadership. Conducting exit interviews and reporting on retention issues will also be part of the responsibilities. The role supports and maintains employee engagement programs and initiatives that align with organizational goals and culture, while also monitoring and reporting on positive employee relations strategies and retention initiatives. Additionally, the Generalist will act as the Human Resources communications coordinator for the launch of special programs and events, ensuring effective communication and engagement across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document all incoming calls and communication from Beacon I-Care Phone Lines and E-mails.
  • Report and follow up on all employee concerns and suggestions.
  • Follow up with new hires in relation to onboarding experience and provide feedback to department leadership.
  • Conduct exit interviews and report on retention issues.
  • Support and maintain the employee engagement programs and initiatives that support organizational goals and culture.
  • Monitor and report on positive employee relations strategies and retention initiatives that foster and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Act as the Human Resources communications coordinator for the launch of special programs and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related study preferred or equal amount of experience.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' prior human resources or related experience including the demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships and build influence with people internally and externally.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time.
