About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Bud's Goods and Provisions plays a crucial role in supporting HR functions and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This position involves working closely with the HR Manager to enhance employee relations, manage recruitment and onboarding processes, administer benefits, and contribute to a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for maintaining employee records and facilitating training and development programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment process, including creating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition and introduction to the company.
• Serve as a point person to support the HR Manager in employee relations matters, including assisting with documentation and coordination related to investigations.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and wellness programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
• Assist in the administration of performance reviews, providing support to managers in evaluating employee performance.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS) with accuracy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience of proven HR Generalist or similar HR role.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems (ISolved, ADP, Workday, etc.).
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

Nice-to-haves

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
• Experience in retail, cannabis, or a related industry is highly desirable.
