About the position

The Human Resource Administrator position at MCI is designed for an experienced HR generalist who will play a crucial role in supporting and executing various people initiatives. This role emphasizes the importance of promoting positive employee relations and retention while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be a charismatic public speaker, friendly, creative, and highly reliable, with a strong work ethic. Experience in call center operations or client services is preferred, as this position requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced in these environments. In this full-time, on-site role, the HR Administrator will partner with team leaders to implement HR strategies that focus on employee training, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of HR processes and will need to translate business priorities into effective HR solutions. This includes performing timely and accurate entries into HRIS databases, ensuring fair and consistent policy administration, and maintaining employee records in compliance with legal requirements. The HR Administrator will also be tasked with monitoring employee engagement through a hands-on approach, which may involve remote interactions. They will perform employee relations functions, including problem-solving and dispute resolution, and will need to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. A passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role, as the HR Administrator will be expected to drive effective employee relations, retention, and reward programs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with team leaders to implement and execute HR strategies focused on employee training, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Perform timely and accurate entries to the HRIS databases.
  • Ensure policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Perform audit and compliance functions as requested on items such as audit reports verification and payroll information.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures.
  • Understand business goals and recommend effective HR strategies.
  • Monitor employee engagement with a 'hands-on' approach that may include remote interactions.
  • Perform employee relations functions, including problem-solving and dispute resolution.
  • Adapt to the complex and rapidly changing work environment by responding to the macro-economic environment and fiscal policies.
  • Drive effective employee relations, retention, and reward programs.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of training tools and techniques.
  • Possess effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Possess time management, planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work in a professional but fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent planning, management, and coordination skills, and the ability to work with a variety of learning styles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Military, local, state or federal government experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a contact center environment is a plus.
  • Graduation from an accredited two-year or four-year college or university is a plus.
  • SHRM-SCP or similar certification is a plus.
