About the position

Moore RMG is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Topeka, KS. This full-time position is crucial for planning, implementing, and administering all aspects of Human Resources responsibilities for the supported companies. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in ensuring that our HR processes are efficient and effective, contributing to the overall success of our organization. You will be responsible for addressing daily employee requests and questions, providing customer service and employee support under the oversight of the HR Manager. Your role will also involve recruitment and hiring, where you will recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborating closely with departmental managers to understand the required skills and competencies for various positions. In addition to recruitment, you will handle HR compliance and administration tasks, including performing background checks, managing unemployment claims, and maintaining the payroll database and HRIS system. You will also conduct new hire orientations, coordinate safety training, and maintain training certificates to ensure that all employees are well-prepared and compliant with safety regulations. Your responsibilities will extend to benefits and attendance management, where you will assist with annual benefits open enrollment, track employee attendance, issue warnings, and manage the attendance incentive program. You will also be responsible for organizing personnel files, performing compliance audits, and handling various clerical tasks as needed. Bilingual translation skills are preferred to enhance communication within our diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Address daily employee requests and questions with oversight from the HR Manager.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
  • Perform background checks and E-Verify for new hires.
  • Manage unemployment claims and employment verifications.
  • Maintain payroll database and HRIS system.
  • Distribute paychecks and track temporary hire hours.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and coordinate safety training.
  • Maintain training certificates for employees.
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and perform data entry for new hires.
  • Track employee attendance and issue warnings as necessary.
  • Manage the attendance incentive program.
  • Organize personnel files and perform compliance audits.
  • Prepare correspondence and perform other clerical tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in human resources.
  • Ability to successfully interact with employees and leaders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual translation skills are preferred.
