The HR Generalist at Sephora plays a crucial role in providing on-site leadership and partnership to the management and employees of the Sephora Distribution Center. This position is responsible for delivering a wide range of strategic and tactical HR support and programs that align with the business initiatives of the Supply Chain. The HR Generalist will manage or provide consultative services throughout the entire employee life-cycle, from recruitment to off-boarding, ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and provided with competitive wages, benefits, and sound working conditions. This role is pivotal in championing Sephora's principles-based culture and core values while driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. In this role, the HR Generalist will act as a resource for business partners, maintaining open lines of communication to ensure fair and consistent interpretation and application of company policies and procedures. The individual will stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment laws. Engagement efforts will be driven to create and maintain a positive work environment, assisting in performance evaluations and providing feedback to business partners. The HR Generalist will also partner with leadership to coach and counsel employees on performance issues, recruit and interview qualified candidates, and facilitate the hiring process for open positions. The HR Generalist will consistently monitor HR data to enhance distribution center performance and will perform routine tasks necessary to administer and execute human resource programs. This includes managing compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, succession planning, and occupational health and safety. Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations is essential, and the HR Generalist will review policies and practices to ensure adherence to these standards.
